My name is Pumpkin, and I am one lucky lady - my foster mom and dad busted me out of that scary shelter just in time! Since then I’ve been chillaxing, sleeping in soft beds, playing in my own back yard and waiting for my very last heat to end (yes, this nonsense at my age - can you imagine??). I’m going to get my spay next week, then I’ll be ready to start interviewing for my new furever family, yay!
I love all the people I meet, I’m all wiggles and nub-wags especially if you’ll come outside with me and play ball or just watch me roll in the grass. I’ll even play in the water if you grab a hose and spray me! Since I’ve been in heat I haven’t met any other dogs or cats yet, but I totally ignore those crazy barking dogs next door.
I get a little nervous when my people have to leave me alone, I might walk around the house whining for a while, but then I’ll take a nap. Don’t worry though, I’m totally house trained and I would never chew on anything - just please no crates, those really scare me! I sleep in my own bed at night, and I beat my foster mom in the battle of the bladder every night (she can’t hold it for 10 hours like I can). Whoever said I was incontinent was totes wrong!
I do have some arthritis in my back (what lady my age doesn’t?), but I’m taking some pills that seem to help. Sometimes this makes my back feet slip out from under me, especially on slick floors. Carpet, grass and yoga mats are my friends! I can go for short walks before I get tired, I don’t mind the leash at all. I’m a little picky about food, but if you have a treat for me I’ll be very gentle taking it from you, and of course I’m polite when you put my food bowl down.
If you have room in your home for this spunky lady and my ball, have your people call my people - I’d love to meet you!
