Other Info :
Hi there! My name is Winchester. My foster mom refers to me as “Six Bees” or “Big Beautiful Blind Brindle Boxer Boy”. That’s right. I am blind, but that has not stopped me from being a loving and sweet Boxer boy nor has it prevented me from meeting a stranger or caused me to be afraid of other dogs. I may bump into a few things here and there, but I will know your exact location by zooming in on your voice and scent. The doctor does not know why I am blind. I can see shadows, shapes and movement.
I do know some commands like come, sit, stay, go outside, chow time and car ride. Oh yes, how I LOVE to ride in the car. I do need some assistance getting in and out because I cannot judge the distance. I also love to go for walks to take in all the different smells out there. I am leash trained and my foster mom says I am a gentleman and do not pull her down the street.
I must mention my love for ice cream, peanut butter and yogurt mixed with pumpkin. And I cannot forget ice water! I do not get on the furniture or beg at the table. I currently live with my fur brother who loves to play. Unfortunately, I do not know how to play, but I am learning. I also do not know what toys are for. My fur brother is crazy about them, but I am just getting to know about them. I am also crate and housetrained. I adore being with my people. I am kid friendly and love everyone I meet. I am not sure about cats, but there is a bunny in our yard named Skippy who smells pretty good.
Unfortunately, I am heartworm positive so I will be going through heartworm treatment soon to get rid of those yucky monsters. Please check back with me later. My foster mom will update my page soon.
