Other Info :
Ahoy matey, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack is the perfect name for me because I have a smile that you're just going to fall in love with. I am super cute and cuddly and when I'm chillin' out, you'll always see my awesome smile!
I'm 1.5 years old and love attention from my skin family and really want to play with the other furry friends in my house. I really, really like playing fetch with my foster skin little brother and little sister. I really hope that my furever home has some kids to keep me company and help me with all my energy.
Yo Ho Ho, I was rescued from Davey Jones' Locker because my previous skin family had some cats and I just wasn't able to control myself. I really just wanted to play, but it turned out that one of them got really hurt and my old daddy said I had to walk the plank. I thought for sure I was going to be shark bait. I really really hated to leave and miss sleeping on my 7 year old skin brother's bed every night. I think he probably misses me a bunch, too. So, I don't want to get caught up in that type of trouble again… it's best if my new home doesn't have any cats or other really small furry pirate friends.
There's definitely no other dog like me. I'm super sweet and lovable. I don't make messes in the house thanks to my foster family's doggie door. I hang out in the brig (I mean crate) while they're gone, though. I really don't mind it because they leave me with some pretty cool toys and a soft bed. I don't usually whine or bark or even try to get out. At night, I get to sleep in their bedroom on my bed (although, I'd prefer sleeping in their bed with them... after a few tries, I give up and go to my bed). I love their back yard… remember, playing fetch is one of my favorite things to do. I walk really well on a leash and kind of know the sit command… Well, maybe I know it, but it's just a matter of who's saying it, really. I'm kind of scared of men and get confused because all I want to do is please everyone, I don't want to do anything wrong, and I really don't want to get yelled at or have to walk the plank again.
One other thing that I get confused about is that when I just want to make my new skin friends happy and love them. Most of the time they try to stop me from jumping up on their lap without permission. I'm working on it, but I just want them to know that I love them. Oh, and I kind of get jealous when another furry friend is sitting on their lap. I just want to join in on the fun. That's only fair, right!? I mean, what kind of furry mate wouldn't want me laying on him!?
Just like other Boxers, I often get the zoomies when my parents let me out of the brig (I mean crate). You better be prepared and batten down the hatches! One of my favorite things to do is to go couch and bed surfing. I make sure I hit both the couches and my parents' bed at least twice before I do anything else. I'm really trying to resist doing that, but it's soooo much fun!
I still need to gain some weight and figure this whole eating thing out. I'm kind of scared to eat my food because my old skin brother was a bigger guy and he always wanted to eat my food. I let him have it because I didn't want to make him not like me.
But, don't let anything deter you from making this amazing pirate yours. I really know how to walk like a gentleman while out on a stroll and how to do what my foster people ask me to do. I get along really well with my fur sister (another Boxer). I have some energy, but you can see the picture that shows that I really can relax.
We've got to meet! I'm sure we'd be best mates! Until then... farewell and following seas to you!
