Other Info :
Ryan is a 2 year old female, named after the baseball great, Nolan Ryan. She was found as a stray, her owners were contacted, and they chose not to come and get her, and I am so glad they didn’t.
Ryan is extremely scared of humans. There is no aggression just extreme fear, when she sees a stranger she immediately cowers down, and does her best to run and hide. If you ignore her she will slowly come out and say hi, in her own time. We are currently working to make her more comfortable with people.
Ryan is HW-, and medically cleared. We just have to continue to work with her on getting more comfortable with people and helping her feel safe.
Ryan is great with other dogs of all sizes. We have not tested her with cats. As for kids, with young children’s movements being unpredictable I would say no small children, at least at this time.
Ryan is nothing but love once she warms up to you! She loves to cuddle on the couch, in the bed, she wants to have some part of her body touching you, if possible! Ryan does not show any food aggression, and is not food motivated. She does not really eat with the other dogs, because there is too much going on, it’s not a matter of feeding her in her crate or going into another room, because unless that is a sound proof room, every noise she hears, she will stop eating to investigate. So we feed her with the others, but she doesn’t really touch it until the other dogs go outside.
As we get to know her better, and continue to break her out of her shell, we will keep everyone updated.
