Baymax is the perfect name for me. I am super cute and cuddly just like the Pixar character with the same name. I sometimes get confused about about life as an inside dog. Some things that are puzzling me are why my fur brother keeps carrying things around in his mouth and acting so happy when he tosses them around. It also seems crazy that the people keep doing funny things with their hands and holding a piece of apple or hotdog and giving it to me when I do easy things like come to them or sit. Another weird thing is the dog in the shiny glass keeps looking back at me, but he doesn't smell like anything!
I was rescued from death row. Can you believe it? Death row! How did I get there? How did that happen? A handsome, charismatic guy like me stuck in dog jail; and to top it off, one of the other pups in there didn't cover their cough and I caught it! I'll shake it in no time though. Even though my stay in doggie jail was hard, I'm not looking back! I'm getting great care from my foster family.
I'm sweet, lovable, wiggly, and super smart! I am partially deaf. I hear high-pitched noises and some talking, but sometimes can't tell where the sounds are coming from. My foster family uses both verbal commands and signs to communicate with me. I know signs for eat, come, potty, and no. I'm learning signs for sit, bed, and off. I have not had a single accident in my foster home and really like using the doggie door.
Don't let anything deter you from making this amazing pupp-o yours. I have been learning to walk like a gentleman while out on a stroll and how to do what my foster people ask me to do. I get along really well with my fur brother (another white Boxer) and his boy. I also love running in the yard, snacking on treats (diced apple, baby carrots, tiny bits of hot dog), sleeping on soft beds, and checking in with my foster people for loves. Like all goofy Boxers, I get the zoomies (sure to make you laugh) and wag my entire body to show you how happy I am. We've got to meet! I'm sure we'd be besties! If you are interested in getting to know me, all you have to do is let us know.
Like so many people in this area, I have bad allergies so I am currently getting allergy shots. I also need to avoid all grain since it's in the grass family and grass is what I am most allergic to. My foster family and my amazing vets are working together to getting my itchies under control, so I am not ready to be your dog yet. I'll let you know when I'm ready. Until then meet some of the other amazing foster pups at Legacy Boxer Rescue. Love, Baymax.
